Outreach will host BINGO on Friday, October 11, 7 p.m., in the Concert Hall. Since the jackpot was won in September, it resets to $50 this evening and 50 numbers will be drawn in the jackpot game. Come one, come all! Bring the grandkids, friends, and neighbors! We are starting off the evening at 6:30 with pizza ($2 a slice), and, of course, sweets. Hope to see you there!
The SV Shredding Event, sponsored by Mary Ciesielski, Symphony Village resident and realtor with Long and Foster, will be held on Wednesday, October 9, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m., in the parking lot on the tennis court side of the Clubhouse. There is no limit to the number of boxes or bags of documents that residents may bring for shredding, and you will be able to stand by and watch your documents being destroyed. The shredding service is free, but donations to SV Outreach will be welcome!
It is time to sign up for the Grandchildren’s Hallowe’en Party which will be Sunday, October 27 from 2 - 4 p.m. at the Clubhouse for grandchildren ages 2 - 10. There will be crafts, games, pictures, snacks, and a costume parade complete with ‘trick or treating.’
Please sign up now in the Hallowe’en Party notebook in the Wall Street Room. There is a box there for the checks, made out to SVHOA. The cost is $7 per child. Grandparents must be in attendance at the Party. Deadline for sign up is Friday, October 18.
Please sign up as early as you can; we need at least 30 children ages 3 - 10 to make this work, and we need time to prepare.
We need volunteers to help man the crafts and games. If you can help or if you have teenage grandchildren who would like to help (as part of their community service projects), please let Carlene or Linda know. It is a fun and easy way to spend a few hours!!
Any questions, please call Carlene Cooke, 443-262-8146, or Linda Farrar, 410-758-8744.
