We have a terrific DJ lined up for 9 pm but don’t hesitate to come as early as 8 pm. Donna & Skip will have the bar open, Kerri Giuriceo has planned a great party with hats and noise makers, oh, that’s us, but I’m sure she’ll have some horns on hand. Join us again this year for our Caroling Party. We will meet up for hot soup, cold beer and wine, warm Wassail, Coffee or Tea, at the Rayner’s (129 Symphony). We leave to begin caroling through the neighborhood at 6:45, come early and enjoy the fare!
This year we are asking the Chorale members in our Village to step up and lead us in song. We hope we make it to your house but the weather is our guidepost. Please sign up in the Clubhouse so we are prepared.
This is a great new event for the village. Get out your colors and join us at the Clubhouse at 1 pm for outdoor grilling and tailgating! The game will start at 3 pm and we should all be full by then, but if not there will be plenty of food.
We will be serving inside with plenty of seats at the bar, Wall Street Room, and Card Room in front of the TVs. Not interested in the game, come up for the corn tossing contest, root for your side—Army or Navy.
There is a sign up sheet in the Clubhouse asking for your food donations (tailgate type food). This should really be a fun day.

Celebrating our Veterans November, 17th
Veterans Day is coming up this November and once again Joe and Amy Marotta are planning a great Happy Hour celebration. On Saturday, November, 17, at 6 pm they plan to salute all of the veterans in our community. They have a wonderful Happy Hour planned for us, we hope all will attend with their great appetizers and desserts.

Yard Sale Postponed
Due to the forecasted Nor’easter coming this weekend, we are rescheduling the Fall Yard Sale for Saturday, November 10, from 8 a.m. to 12 noon. We all have extra time to dig out our treasures, dust off our gems, and price to sell, our overstocked garage items. New print advertising will go out to support our Yard Sale. FINAL REMINDER: The 2nd Session of Dance Classes sponsored by the Lifestyles Committee is due to start this Wednesday, October 24, if there is enough interest. NOTE CHANGE: There will be a total of 5 classes (not 6) between October 24 and December 12 (no classes on Wed, 10/31, Wed, 11/21, or Wed, 12/5). Line Dance will be from 4:15-5:15; Ballroom (East Coast Swing) will be from 5:30-6:30. Cost is $10.00 per person per class ($20.00 per couple), for a total of $50.00 ($100.00) per Session, payable by check to "Dancing on the Shore" at the first class. If you know you will need to miss one or more of the scheduled classes, you may pay only for those you expect to attend at the first class. (Unfortunately, pay as you go is not an option.) will take place at the gazebo park area on Sunday, October 14,
1pm. Dogs and owners will strut their stuff on the walkway around
the gazebo. There is a $5 entry fee for up to 3 category entries, $1
for each additional category. Entry forms will be available

requirement is that your dog is able to socialize, i.e.. play nice,
among other dogs.

We will begin Line Dancing and Ballroom Dancing Instructions on September 12th but this night is a Demo of what to expect. Come to the Ballroom and learn the cost, the dance, the times, etc. We will have a licensed Instructor teach us all about this great exercise--Dancing.

Tonight is a salute to Alan Alda and his Leading Ladies. We begin with The Four Seasons, a 1981 film featuring Alan Alda and Carol Burnett who go on vacation every new season with their best friends, Len Cariou and Sandy Dennis, but watch as their story unfolds when a much younger, Bess Armstrong, is thrown into the mix.
After a 15 minute intermission the second half of the double hitter will begin. Same Time Next Year, a 1978 film again featuring Alan Alda, with leading lady, Ellen Burstyn. Watch as their one weekend a year affair progresses through the decades.
Featuring the sounds of Island Oasis, a 3 piece Caribbean/Reggae Band singing Jimmy Buffet, Harry Belafonte, and island favorites. This time we have to ask for a cover charge of $5.00 per person to attend.
Lifestyles is hosting the Happy Hour Poolside from 6 pn to 9 pm. Carolyn Harty will be manning her Margaritta Bar outside as well. Come dressed for the Islands or wear your swim suit. You won't be able to sit still when you hear the music so wear your dancing feet.
